Making Lent Work

by Dan O’Donnell

Growing up Catholic had it’s ups and downs. Lent for me was one of those downs. Of course I did what Sister suggested and gave up things (I don’t remember exactly what today) but after leaving school, I began to question to the value of such activity.

Today’s YouTube video while short (kind of fits the theme of minimalism) suggests a strong reason why Sister may have been right. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did and look forward to seeing the full length film by Matt D’Avella.

We are a community of laymen and laywomen who, with vowed Passionists, seek to share in the charism of St. Paul of the Cross through prayer, ongoing spiritual formation, and proclamation of the message of Christ Crucified.
