I’ve been trying to get Pope Francis’s picture on this site for the longest time. It’s not easy. I so like hearing him encouraging parents and grandparents to teach their children to pray, one of the things Passionists and Partners do pretty well. What impressed me most though, was Pope Francis’s statement that “…Lent helps us overcome violence and poverty.” He doesn’t give us any details on how this happens with this video, but I think I will pray about that in the coming weeks, asking God to help me see how my Lenten practices can involve me more in lessening violence and poverty in my world.
